EXIGENT (Adjective) : जरूरी, अत्यावश्यक 

  • Meaning: pressing; demanding.
  • अर्थ : अत्यावश्यक, माँग करना
  • Synonyms: urgent, crucial
  • Antonyms: unpressured, facile
  • Example: I try not to be exigent with my students, but as a teacher I have to press them to get their work done.

EULOGIZE(Verb): स्तुति करना

  • Meaning: to praise someone or something in a speech or piece of writing
  • अर्थ : भाषण या लेखन के किसी अंश में किसी की प्रशंसा करना
  • Synonyms: applaud, commend
  • Antonyms: blame, criticize
  • Example: Critics everywhere have eulogized her new novel.

DIMINUTION (Noun) : अवनति

  • Meaning: a reduction in the size, extent, or importance of something.
  • अर्थ: किसी चीज के आकार, सीमा या महत्व में कमी।
  • Synonyms: curtailment,  contraction, constriction, restriction, limitation
  • Antonyms: increase, expansion, growth
  • Sentence:  The diminution of cafeteria monitors has resulted in an increase in food fights at the high school.

RELENT (verb) : नरम पड़ना

  • Meaning: to cease resistance (as to another’s arguments, demands, or control).
  • अर्थ: प्रतिरोध को रोकना (दूसरे के तर्क, मांग या नियंत्रण के अनुसार)।
  • Synonyms: concede, give in, submit, succumb.
  • Antonyms: combat, confront, counter, defy.
  • Sentence: Because my mother is very angry, she won’t relent on my severe punishment.

Malapert (adjective)  : गुस्ताख़

  • Meaning: boldly disrespectful; impudent.
  • अर्थ: साहसपूर्वक अनादर।
  • Synonym: impertinent, cheeky, rude, brazen.
  • Antonyms: courteous, humble, modest, polite.
  • Sentence: In a fury, she said that he was too malapert to give her such an answer, and affirmed that both he and they should repent it.

BENIGNANT (adjective) : दयालु

  • Meaning: having or marked by sympathy and consideration for others.
  • अर्थ: दूसरों के लिए सहानुभूति और विचार द्वारा चिह्नित या चिह्नित करना।
  • Synonyms: beneficent, benevolent, compassionate, softhearted.
  • Antonyms: atrocious, barbarous, callous, fiendish.
  • Usage: The queen had a benignant reputation and was loved for her caring treatment of others.

BUCOLIC (Adjective) : ग्राम्य

  • Meaning: Relating to the pleasant aspects of the countryside and country life.
  • अर्थ: ग्रामीण इलाकों और देश के जीवन के सुखद पहलुओं से संबंधित।
  • Synonyms: Rustic, Rural, Pastoral, Country
  • Antonyms: Urban
  • Usage: Even though I was born in the city, I still prefer the quiet of a small bucolic village any day.

SIDLE (Verb) : तरफ़ चलना

  • Meaning: walk in a furtive, unobtrusive, or timid manner, especially sideways or obliquely.
  • अर्थ: फुर्तीली, विनीत, या डरपोक तरीके से चलना, विशेष रूप से बग़ल में या विशिष्ट रूप से।
  • Synonyms: creep, sneak, slink, slip, slide
  • Antonyms: march, stride
  • Usage: Because the cars were packed in the driveway, I had to sidle between them in order to get to the house.

WOO (Verb) : प्रीति करना

  • Meaning: seek the favor, support, or custom of.
  • अर्थ: एहसान, समर्थन, या रिवाज चाहते हैं।
  • Synonyms: chase, pursue, ingratiate,
  • Antonyms: deter, affront, repulse, reject.
  • Usage: Political parties have roped in Bollywood stars only to woo the young.

PRIGGISH (adjective) : दम्भी

  • Meaning: self-righteously moralistic and superior.
  • अर्थ:  स्वयंभू रूप से नैतिक और श्रेष्ठ।
  • Synonyms:  smug, sanctimonious, moralistic, prudish.
  • Antonyms: broad-minded, permissive, overstrung, uptight.
  • Usage: After living with his wife for 30 years, the husband was tired of the nagging and demands made by his priggish woman.
