OXYMORON(Noun) :  विरोधाभास 

  • Meaning: two words used together that have, or seem to have, opposite meanings
  • अर्थ: एक साथ इस्तेमाल होने वाले दो शब्द, या इसके विपरीत अर्थ हैं
  • Synonyms: adumbration, allegory
  • Antonyms: truth, honesty
  • Example:The term ‘constitutional democracy’ can be interpreted as either an oxymoron or a tautology.

HYSTERIA (Noun) : हमला

  • Meaning: exaggerated or uncontrollable emotion or excitement.
  • अर्थ: अतिरंजित या बेकाबू भावना या उत्तेजना।
  • Synonyms: frenzy, wildness, attack
  • Antonyms: calmness, self-possession
  • Example: The hostages were in a state of hysteria when they were rescued by the police.

POGROM (noun)  : तबाही

  • Meaning: massacre, mass murder.
  • अर्थ: नरसंहार, सामूहिक हत्या।
  • Synonyms: holocaust, slaughter, decimation, carnage.
  • Antonyms: relief, rescue, refuge, support.
  • Example: It is unthinkable that anyone could design a pogrom as a means for eliminating a group of people.

CROTCHETY(Adjective) : सनकी

  • Meaning: often in a bad mood and easily annoyed
  • अर्थ: अक्सर बुरे मूड में और आसानी से नाराज
  • Synonyms: grouchy, grumpy
  • Antonyms: happy, pleasant
  • Example: By the time the meal began, the youngest children were getting tired and crotchety.

DETERRENCE (Noun) : निवारण

  • Meaning: the action of discouraging an action or event through instilling doubt or fear of the consequences.
  • अर्थ: संशय उत्पन्न करने या परिणामों के भय से किसी क्रिया या घटना को हतोत्साहित करने की क्रिया।
  • Synonyms: determent, disincentive, dissuasion
  • Example: Deterrence of aggression also demands forward defense.

MEEK(Adjective) : नम्र

  • Meaning: quiet and unwilling to disagree or fight or to strongly support personal ideas and opinions
  • अर्थ: व्यक्तिगत विचारों और विचारों का दृढ़ता से समर्थन करने या लड़ने के लिए शांत और अनिच्छुक
  • Synonyms: submissive, passive
  • Antonyms: bold, brave
  • Example: The poor do not gain heaven, and the meek inherit the least of the earth.

INVIGORATE(Verb) : उत्तेजित करना

  • Meaning: to give new energy or strength to someone or something
  • अर्थ: किसी को या किसी चीज को नई ऊर्जा या शक्ति देना
  • Synonyms: boost, stimulate
  • Antonyms: discourage, dissuade
  • Example: They argued that a cut in the tax rate would invigorate the economy.
