1) Retaliation (Noun) – प्रतिकार

Meaning:the action of returning a military attack; counter-attack.

Synonyms: revenge, vengeance, reprisal

Antonyms: forgiveness, pardon, sympathy

Usage: “the bombings are believed to be in retaliation for the trial of 15 suspects”

2) Assertion (Noun) – अभिकथन

Meaning: a confident and forceful statement of fact or belief.

Synonyms: declaration, contention, statement

Antonyms:disavowal, denial, desertion

Usage: “his assertion that his father had deserted the family”

3) Reckless (Adjective) – लापरवाह

Meaning: heedless of danger or the consequences of one’s actions; rash or impetuous.

Synonyms: rash, careless, thoughtless

Antonyms:careful, cautious, prudent

Usage: “you mustn’t be so reckless”

4) Abdicate (Verb) – त्यागना

Meaning: renounce one’s throne.

Synonyms: resign, retire, quit

Antonyms: be crowned, accede to

Meaning: conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch.

Antonyms: calm, obedience, peace

Usage: In March 1848, authorities charged several leading nationalists with sedition.
