  • Meaning: 
  • अर्थ: कर्तव्य या जिम्मेदारी के रूप में (किसी के लिए) आवश्यक।
  • Synonyms: necessary, tenured, compulsory, officeholder
  • Antonyms: optional, unnecessary
  • Usage: It is incumbent upon all users of this equipment to familiarize themselves with the safety procedure.

PATRONAGE (noun) : संरक्षण

  • Meaning: a condescending manner or attitude in granting favors, in dealing with people.
  • अर्थ: लोगों के साथ व्यवहार में, एहसान देने में एक कृपालु तरीका या रवैया।
  • Synonyms: aegis, auspices, backing, encouragement, financing.
  • Antonyms: attack, blockage, disapproval, discouragement, harm.
  • Usage: There were hundreds of other things in the great city, but they had their share of patronage.

CONCURRENCE (noun) : सन्निपतन

  • Meaning: the fact of two or more events or circumstances happening or existing at the same time.
  •  अर्थ: एक ही समय में होने वाली या विद्यमान दो या अधिक घटनाओं या परिस्थितियों का तथ्य।
  • Synonym:concordance, cooperation, coincidence.
  • Antonym: dissonance, discord.
  • Usage: Because the events ran in concurrence, the coordinator could not attend both parties at the same time.

Unprecedented (adjective) : अभूतपूर्व

  • Meaning: never done or known before.
  • अर्थ: पहले कभी नहीं किया या जाना जाता है।
  • Synonym: unequaled, unmatched, unrivaled.
  • Antonym: precedented, familiar, usual.
  • Usage: The damage caused by the hurricane is unprecedented and has never been experienced before in this country.

Demolish (verb) : ध्वस्त

  • Meaning: pull or knockdown (a building)अर्थ: (एक इमारत) गिराना
  • Synonyms: annihilate, bulldoze, crush, decimate
  • Antonyms: build, construct, create, help, lose, raise
  • Usage:  He harangued the Indians, and exhorted them to demolish the fort.

Jeopardize (verb) : ख़तरे में डालना

  • Meaning: put (someone or something) into a situation in which there is a danger of loss, harm, or failure.
  • अर्थ: (किसी को या किसी को) ऐसी स्थिति में रखना जिसमें हानि, हानि या असफलता का खतरा हो।

Retain – बनाये रखना

  • Meaning: continue to have (something); keep possession of.
  • अर्थ: (कुछ) जारी रखना; कब्जा रखना
  • Synonyms: keep, hold, preserve
  • Antonyms: abandon, release
  • Usage:  The union needs to retain the allegiance of all its members for the strike to succeed.

Compel – बाध्य करना

  • Meaning: force or oblige (someone) to do something.
  • अर्थ: कुछ करने के लिए बल या उपकृत करना (किसी को)।
  • Synonyms: force, oblige, coerce, enforce
  • Antonyms: impede, obstruct, discourage, dissuade
  • Usage:  Illness compelled him to stay in bed.
