IMMINENT (Adjective) : होने जा रहा, नजदीक में ही घटित होने वाला   

  • Meaning: about to happen.
  • अर्थ: होने वाला।
  • Synonyms: close, near, approaching, forthcoming
  • Antonyms: distant, remote
  • Usage: Some people thought it was funny when the media predicted the imminent death of the drug-addicted celebrity.

 DILATORY (adjective) : धीमा सुस्त 

  • Meaning: slow to act
  • अर्थ: कार्य करने में धीमा
  • Synonyms: sluggish, slothful, lax, slack.
  • Antonyms: fast, prompt, brisk, quick.
  • Usage: They were dilatory in providing the researchers with information.

INADVERTENT (Adjective) : बेपरवाह/असावधान 

  • Meaning: not resulting from or achieved through deliberate planning.
  • अर्थ: जानबूझकर नियोजन के माध्यम से प्राप्त या प्राप्त नहीं किया गया।
  • Synonyms:  unintended, accidental, unpremeditated, unplanned,

Contrition:(Noun) : पछतावा

  • Meaning:- the state of feeling sorry for bad behaviour: the state of repentance.
  • अर्थ:  बुरे व्यवहार के लिए खेद महसूस करने की स्थिति: पश्चाताप की स्थिति।
  • Synonyms: contriteness, guilt, penitence, regret, remorse, repentance

ENSCONCE (Verb) : स्थापित करना

  • Meaning: establish or settle (someone) in a comfortable, safe place.
  • अर्थ: किसी आरामदायक, सुरक्षित जगह पर (किसी को) स्थापित या बसाना।
  • Synonyms: settle, install, establish, entrench
  • Antonyms: depart, displace
  • Example: Clara is comfortably ensconced in a beach chair and has no immediate plans to return to work.

REPRISAL(Noun) :प्रतिहिंसा

  • Meaning: an act of retaliation.
  • अर्थ: प्रतिशोध का एक कार्य।
