NITI Aayog launches campaign “Navigating the New Normal”
A campaign called “Navigating the New Normal” has been started by the NITI Aayog in partnership with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Ashoka University, Centre for Social and Behavioural Change, and the Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Women & Child Development. The campaign comprises of 2 parts: first is a web portal and the second is a media campaign. The web portal seeks to increase public participation and encourages people to practise COVID-safe behaviours. While the second part, i.e. the media campaign focuses on the wearing of masks as it is a simple measure which has made a big difference in the fight against COVID-19.

Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurates PADC at Paradip, Odisha
Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan has introduced a Product Application and Development Centre (PADC) set up by Indian Oil at Paradip, Odisha with a CAPEX of Rs 43 crore (USD 6.10 billion), adjacent to its Refinery and Petrochemicals complex.

“Atma Nirbhar Uttar Pradesh Rojgar Abhiyan” launched in UP
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implicitly launched a scheme “Atma Nirbhar Uttar Pradesh Rojgar Abhiyan” in Uttar Pradesh. The scheme intends to create employment for the migrant workers of the state who recently returned from other states.
It is launched in 31 districts of Uttar Pradesh creating more than 25,000 returnee migrant workers.

Tripura to launch “Mukhyamantri Matru Pushti Uphaar” scheme
Government of Tripura has declared an energetic scheme “Mukhyamantri Matru Pushti Uphaar” to provide nutrition kits to pregnant and lactating women in order to combat infant and maternal mortality and malnutrition. The scheme is expected to benefit 40,000 women in the state. Under the scheme, pregnant women would be tested four times in the Primary Health Centers (PHC), and will be offered a nutrition kit after each test.

Pakistan to remain on FATF grey list
The global terror financing watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has voted to keep Pakistan in the Grey List for terror funding as the country failed to check the flow of money to terror groups. The judgment was taken at the Financial Action Task Force’s third and final plenary held virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The plenary was held under the Chinese Presidency of Xiang Liu. The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is an inter-governmental body established in 1989 by the Ministers of its Member jurisdictions.

World’s First Yoga University Outside India launched in Los Angeles
V Muraleedharan, the Minister of State of External Affairs and P P Chaudhary, Chairperson of the Standing Committee on External Affairs, jointly launched World’s First Yoga University “Vivekananda Yoga University”(Vayu) in Los Angeles, United States of America, over the virtual event at the Consulate General of India in New York.
The event was combined hosted by Sandeep Chakravorty, Consulate General and the founding director of Vayu, Prem Bhandari, the chairperson of Jaipur Foot USA.

Yes Bank launches a digital wallet solution mobile application named as ‘Yuva Pay’ in partnership with UDMA Technologies Pvt Ltd to allow contactless payments for its customers. The wallet is issued under minimum Know Your Client (KYC) regulations.
- The solution aims to help the low-income group to access the digital and contactless transactions, which will enable broad access to secure electronic payment services.

Rachel Priest retires from International Cricket
NewZealand wicketkeeper-batswoman Rachel Priest has declared her retirement from International Cricket. She has served New Zealand in 87 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 75 T20Is.
She had a long career which spanned for 13 years. After her retirement, she has now signed up a contract with Cricket Tasmania to play in Australia Women’s National Cricket League and will represent Tasmanian Tigers for the 2020/21 season.
