DISPOSITION(noun) : स्वभाव

  • Meaning: the particular type of character that a person naturally has
  • अर्थ: वह विशेष प्रकार का स्वभाव जो स्वाभाविक रूप से किसी व्यक्ति का होता है
  • Synonyms: habit, the tendency
  • Antonyms: hatred, dislike
  • Usage: In this theory, persons evoke eros if they have beautiful bodies, minds, or dispositions.

GAUNT (adjective) : दुर्बल

  • Meaning: extremely skinny, typically because of illness or starvation
  • अर्थ: अत्यंत पतली, आमतौर पर बीमारी या भुखमरी के कारण
  • Synonyms: grim, thin
  • Antonyms: fat, heavy
  • Usage: After being held in a dark basement for three months, the prisoner was gaunt and weak.

PROTRACT (Verb): फैलना

Meaning: prolong.अर्थ: लम्बा होना।
Synonyms: extend. lengthen, elongate, continue
Antonyms: curtail, shorten
Usage: I have no desire to protract the process.

SCURRY (verb)  : तेज चाल 

  • Meaning: (of a person or small animal) move hurriedly with short quick steps.
  • अर्थ: छोटे क़दमों के साथ तेज़ चलना
  • Synonyms: scamper, scuttle, dash, rush.
  • Antonyms: amble, stroll, crawl, saunter.
  • Usage: We have come to see the tornado in all of its glory, not the ant-like humans that scurry about in its path.

 INGRESS (Noun)  : प्रवेश

  • Meaning: the action or fact of going in or entering; the capacity or right of the entrance.
  • अर्थ: अंदर जाने या प्रवेश करने की क्रिया या तथ्य; प्रवेश की क्षमता या अधिकार
  • Synonyms: entrance, access, admittance, approach
  • Antonyms: egress, exit
  • Usage: If you sit in front of the doorway, you are creating a safety hazard by blocking the path of ingress into the hospital.

INVASIVE (adjective) : आक्रमणशील

  • Meaning: tending to spread very quickly and undesirably or harmfully.
  • अर्थ: बहुत जल्दी और अवांछनीय या हानिकारक फैलाने की प्रवृत्ति
  • Synonyms: nosy, interfering
  • Usage: The samples tested in this series may not include a high proportion of health care staff involved in invasive procedures.

PROCLIVITY (Noun) : झुकाव

  • Meaning: a tendency to choose or do something regularly; an inclination or predisposition towards a particular thing.
  • अर्थ: नियमित रूप से कुछ चुनने या करने की प्रवृत्ति; किसी विशेष चीज के प्रति झुकाव या प्रवृति
  • Synonyms: liking, inclination, tendency, leaning
  • Antonyms: disinclination, dislike, antipathy, hate
  • Usage: His proclivity for cooking made him a big hit in the homeowner’s association.

HIATUS (Noun) : ख़ाली जगह

  • Meaning: a pause or break in continuity in a sequence or activity.
  • अर्थ: एक अनुक्रम या गतिविधि या निरंतरता में विराम
  • Synonyms: pause, break, interval, interruption, suspension
  • Antonyms: closure, juncture, misfortune
  • Usage: The professor will take his family on a long vacation during his hiatus.

ACUMEN (noun) : कुशाग्र बुद्धि

  • Meaning: the ability to make good judgments and take quick decisions.
  • अर्थ: अच्छे निर्णय लेने और त्वरित निर्णय लेने की क्षमता।
  • Synonyms: shrewdness, acuity, cleverness, smartness.
  • Antonyms: guilelessness, ingenuousness, artlessness, fatuity.
  • Usage: But generally I prefer policies that demonstrate a scintilla of common sense and financial acumen.
