Swarthy (Adjective): साँवला

  • Meaning: dark-complexioned
  • अर्थ: गहरा
  • Synonyms: raven, ebony, dusky, sable, brunet
  • Antonyms: blond, luminous, pallid, pasty, bright
  • Example: His complexion was swarthy, his hair dark, and his eye bright and piercing

CONDIGN (adjective) : उचित

  • Meaning: appropriate to the crime or wrongdoing; fitting and deserved.
  • अर्थ: अपराध या अधर्म के लिए उपयुक्त और योग्य।
  • Synonyms: earned, merited, warranted, justified.
  • Antonyms: undeserved, undue, unfair, unjust.
  • Example: Condign punishment was rare when the criminal was a man of high social standing.

Credulous (Adjective) :  भरोसेमंद

  • Meaning: having or showing too great a readiness to believe things.
  • अर्थ: चीजों पर विश्वास करने के लिए बहुत बड़ी तत्परता होना या दिखाना।
  • Synonym: gullible, naive, impressionable, trusting,
  • Antonym: worldly, suspicious
  • Example: When she was younger, my baby sister was incredibly credulous and fell for all my tricks.

Empyrean(Adjective) : स्वर्ग

  • Meaning: Related to heaven or sky
  • अर्थ: स्वर्ग या आकाश से संबंधित
  • Synonym: Ether, Paradise
  • Antonym: hellish, infernal
  • Usage: Electronics and haunting effects bring an empyrean stillness to the album’s middle third.

RESCIND (Verb):  निष्प्रभाव करना,  निरस्त करना         

  • Meaning: to make a law, agreement, order, or decision no longer have any (legal) power
  • अर्थ : कानून बनाना, समझौता करना, आदेश देना, या निर्णय करना अब कोई (कानूनी) शक्ति नहीं है
  • Synonyms: abolish, abrogate
  • Antonyms: allow, approve
  • Usage: The policy of charging air travelers for vegetarian meals proved unpopular and has already been rescinded.

DRACONIAN (adjective) :निर्दयबेरहमकठोर

  • Meaning: excessively harsh and severe.
  • अर्थ : अत्यधिक कठोर और गंभीर। 
    Synonyms: cruel, brutal, oppressive, ruthless.
  • Antonyms: mild, amenable, temperate, gentle.
  • Usage: There was a time when I would have argued that our libel laws were Draconian and should be amended.

MOMENTOUS (adjective) :महत्वपूर्णप्रभावशाली 

  • Meaning: of great importance or significance, especially in having a bearing on future events.
  • अर्थ : बहुत महत्वपूर्ण या प्रभावशाली, विशेष रूप से भविष्य की घटनाओं पर असर डालने में। 
    Synonyms: significant, fateful, portentous, critical.
  • Antonyms: trivial, insignificant, trifling, unsubstantial.
  • Usage: The prospect of a single currency may present this country with one of the most momentous decisions in its history.

Mundane (Adjective) : सांसारिक

  • Meaning:  Found in the ordinary course of events
  • अर्थ: घटनाओं के साधारण पाठ्यक्रम में मिला
  • Synonyms: dime, stale, sober, humdrum, day-to-day
  • Antonyms: unusual, Exciting, extraordinary.
  • Usage: The list included many mundane, routine tasks.

DEFECTION (noun) : दल-बदलत्यागविद्रोह     

  • Meaning: the desertion of one’s country or cause in favor of an opposing one.
  • अर्थ : किसी एक देश के विस्थापन या किसी विरोधी के पक्ष में कारण।
  • Synonyms: desertion, absconding, decamping, flight.
  • Antonyms: commitment, reliability, fidelity, devotion.
  • Usage: Her defection from the Democrats occurred soon after the failure of the coalition proposal.

CORUSCATE (verb) : चमकनादमकना 

  • Meaning: (of light) flash or sparkle.
  • अर्थ : दीप्ती, चमक (प्रकाश की)
  • Synonyms: scintillate, shimmer, sparkle, twinkle.
  • Antonyms: converge, darkle, dull.
  • Usage: The flashlight was used to coruscate a message to the other campers across the lake.
